Fungi Forey
Today I decided to just have a look behind the Summer House to see if anything had started growing there and you would not believe what a found. On just a tiny patch of ground I found the most amazing array of Fungi. All shapes and colours, some growing amongst the leaves, others growing on the old dead logs. My Favourite is this first one which stands about 10 inches high. Here's some photos of a few of the others I found there. When I'd finished rummaging through the undergrowth I looked up an noticed this. I made me feel quite sad if I'm honest. When the Summer House was put up we had to cut down two branches which were too low. I hate cutting down tree's and usually do everything in my power not too but my longing for a Summer House won. But looking up at the cut off stumps, they actually look like they have been bleeding. I know its just the sap but it looks quite gruesome and has made me feel so bad for causing it. Ok, I'll be quiet now, before someone calls the men in white coats :-)I opened the kitchen door today and found Phil the Pheasant stood outside, I don't know who was more surprised. This little Robin was keeping a good eye on the Sparrow Hawk who was flying high over the garden today.
