It looked so magical outside first thing, that I went out in my Jim Jams and wellies and took my camera to try and capture what a perfect morning it was. As I got to the top of the garden I could see Snowdon and the surrounding mountains so clearly and I could even see there was a mist just above the lake down the valley. View from top of the garden
The little female Squirrel came back today, so I think its time I gave her a name. I'm going to call her Bernie after Bernie Winters. Because she looks like she's wearing a coat just like his.
I woke to find the whole garden covered in a thick frost, even the bird baths were frozen solid. I decided to use my first cup of tea of the day kettle water to melt them. I wouldn't have thought the birds would be so thirsty with so much frozen water about, so imagine how delighted I was when minutes later a little Blue Tit went to drink.
Then to my surprise a pair of Green Finches turned up on the feeder. Another bird I've not seen since last winter.
I took so many photo's this morning I'm having to be very strict with myself or I'd fill up the entire site with one days worth.

The pair of black birds I saw last week spent the day in the garden today. There are two males vying for her attention at the moment but this one seems to be winning so far. And the last remaining Buttercup is still holding on to his last petals.
