Bernie meets Snarly Sid

Bernie's back! Along with her amazing coat. She spent about half an hour in the garden this morning eating the sunflower seeds off the lawn. Then Snarly Sid came along and chased her off. He is such a git and I don't know how he gets away with it as he's half her size. Maybe when she's been around a little bit longer she'll stand up to him a bit more.
I've put some different bird food out on the lawn and feeder today. Usually I just put nuts, sunflower seeds, fat balls and kitchen scraps out. But I decided to experiment and splash out on some High Energy Insect Suet Pellets and something called Mealworm Munch. Not exactly sure if I'll attract anything new but the Robins and Wrens absolutely love it. This afternoon Snarly Sid came back but this time he was happily eating with all the Jays. They were busy stuffing whole monkey nuts down their throats again. Up to four at a time again, how do they do that?
The Sparrows are still here in force, I wonder if they will all stay for the winter now?
