Standing Stone
I woke up this morning and it was stair rodding outside. Torrential rain which I'm sure turned to hail once or twice. Then from nowhere the clouds cleared and there was stunning sunshine all afternoon. This meant a day of pottering outside. After finding an amazing stone whilst clearing the standings for the summer house last August, we have now given it pride and place on the mound in the middle of the garden. My own standing stone. It already looks like its been there forever. That's not all that's been going on, I erected a little green house too. Only one of these plastic covered ones but it looks quite sturdy and only cost £10.99. My seedlings looked happy after just an hour as they are now standing upright rather than bending over to grow towards the window. I also moved a very sad looking Tomato plant from the front into the back garden. I have 3 varieties and this one is the trickiest I think to grow so fingers crossed the move will help. I have also started to make some nettle mulch to put on top of all the Tomato plants too. Its simple to do, just cut down some nettles (sorry Butterflies) and add some water and let them soak until they stink! Then just pile on, around the base of the plants. Simple but affective so I'm told. After all that work we sat down and enjoyed a lovely little BBQ at the top of the garden. What a lovely day I've had.
