I can't believe it. Just 36 hours after putting the new Niger seed feeder out I have Goldfinches! How incredible is that? Just 36 hours. How do they know? I am totally amazed.
Then as I was watching the Goldfinch, the Woodpeckers turn up. I love this photo with his tongue coming out. Phil's been around too but made a dash for it as soon as he saw my camera. The village was featured on the News today for all the heavy flooding. It really has rained hard in the last 24 hours. When I woke at 4am there were men with huge flashlights trying to rescue some horses and sheep from the field next to the river. Then as dawn broke there were cars left stranded on the A5 as the water levels just got too high.
