House Martins and Swallows

I noticed on Wednesday the Swallows and House Martins where starting to gather on the wire which leads from the house. They seem to choose this same stretch of wire every year to congragate on before they all head off for warmer climes. On Wednesday there were eight birds, Thursday there were thirty and Friday a few more. This evening there were well over a hundred if not more. Fantastic to watch when they all choose to fly off in one huge swarm before settling back onto the wire again.
